Céad mile fáilte romhaibh go Scoil Dáibhéid Naofa. As principal of the school I am delighted to welcome you to our school website. I hope that you will gain some insight into the day-to-day activities of our school through exploring the website.
I began teaching in St. David’s B.N.S. in 1998 and took over as principal in 2013. In this time I have experienced the continued development of the school and I consider us very fortunate to have such a well equipped school where we can provide a secure, caring, happy and well ordered environment where the boys of St. David’s B.N.S. can realise their full potential. This is all thanks to the hard work of everyone associated with the school community.
On my visits to classrooms it’s great to see the boys so actively involved in learning and I love being greeted with a warm, mannerly welcome and the ‘smiles on faces’. No challenge is too great for our committed, enthusiastic, energetic and highly qualified staff. We strive to provide the holistic development of all our pupils. Every individual brings something unique to our school and we value and nurture this. We aim to support the boys on their journey through St. David’s and help them to grow to be well-rounded,
responsible, happy, young adults.
St. David’s B.N.S. is central to the local community and I am very grateful for the support of our very active Parents’ Association who have helped forge strong links locally. We work closely with local sports clubs and organisations and have an excellent relationship with the local secondary schools.
Thank you for taking the time to visit our school website. Hopefully it gives you a sense of what life in St. David’s B.N.S. is like. If you would like to find out more about the school please feel free to call in and I
would be delighted to answer your questions and show you around.
Le gach dea ghuí,
Dwain Moore
